Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a Renaissance Faire?
A Renaissance faire is an outdoor weekend gathering open to the public. It is a medieval themed faire with a mix of fantasy and fun!
  • What is included with the cost of admission?
All stage shows and other entertainment are included with admission. Games, rides, food, and beverages will incur additional charges.
  • Can I wear my costume to the faire?
Absolutely! Costumes are welcomed and encouraged! We love when people enjoy the renaissance faire experience enough to come in costume. Costumes can be historical or fantasy in design.
  • What is your weapons policy?
If you plan to bring real or metal weapons (such as swords, daggers, axes), they must be peace-tied. Peace-tied means that weapons need to be secured to your belt or the scabbard at all times. This is for the safety of all attendees. We will have leather ties available at the gate if you need them. Real or Metal Weapons purchased at the Faire need to be peace-tied or remain in their packages. Children's and toy weapons are not required to be peace-tied.
  • Is the faire family friendly?
Yes! Every year we have been open, we have strived to create a family friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy!
  • What happens in case of inclement weather?
East Idaho Renaissance Faire is open rain or shine. Don't worry though, if there is inclement weather, we still have many fun activities that can be done under our covered areas such as tavern and stages. No refunds will be given in case of inclement weather.
  • Can I smoke?
No. We are a non-smoking venue. Tis policy includes vape pens, pipes, etc. If you are found smoking on fairgrounds, you will be asked to leave. If you find it necessary to smoke or vape, feel free to head out to our parking area.
  • Do you sell Alcohol or can I bring my own?
No. We are a dry venue. This policy includes hard sodas, mixed drinks, beer, wine, or liquor of any kind. If you are found drinking on fairgrounds, you will be asked to leave. If you find it necessary to smoke or vape, feel free to head out to our parking area.
  • Can I bring my pets?
No dogs or other pets are allowed on the festival grounds, except Service Dogs and Service Mini Horses. Service animal means any dog or mini horse that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. A service animal must also be under control at all times. We prefer that Service Animals have visual identification (vest, leashwraps, etc.), when you bring them into the festival gates as this helps let others know the animal is working and to give them space or to ask before interacting. Service dogs may be taken to any area in the festival. Emotional support animals are not legally allowed in public places and cannot enter the festival grounds.
  • Is the faire handicap accessible?
Yes it is! We even have handicap parking available at the front gate.
  • Do the merchants accept credit cards?
Yes, most of our merchants accept credit cards. We do however encourage you to bring cash for those vendors or games that may not accept credit cards. We do also offer cash back at the gate if needed.
  • If I leave the faire, can I get back in?"
As long as you are wearing your wristband/handstamp, you will be allowed back into the faire on the same day.
  • Where is the lost and found?
Any items turned in can be found at our security station near the front gate or at the information tent. If your items are not there, please feel free to check back after closing as we have items that may be found during cleanup.
  • Do you have a Veterans/Military/First Responders Discount?
Yes, we do! We love those who serve our communities and our nation. All Veterans, active duty military, First Responders and Law Enforcement members are allowed in free of charge with proper ID. It's our way of saying thank you. (All other members of your party will have to pay normal admission prices.)
